The first Global Cafe focused on China and invited a Chinese student of the Graduate School of International Social Sciences Zhang Xiaoming as a presenter. He started off with the greetings in Chinese and introduced Chinese geography, history, and culture. In between, he taught the participants how to do “the exercises for the eyes and the body” which are recognized to be effective for eyes and nearsightedness and introduced by most Chinese primary schools in their daily timetable. Everyone enjoyed learning what they do not normally learn in the classes.
